An inspiring example of Flamefix® Outdoor in action is the Van den Nagel Modular Construction project for Wageningen University & Research. The construction company created approximately 2,000 m² of new office space. The facade is made of Fraké wood impregnated with Flamefix® Outdoor, giving the building a warm, natural look and making it fire-safe. The result: a circular, (temporary) building that provides workspaces for students and staff.
“From the very first conversation, we participated in the design and choice of materials. Flamefix® offered a unique opportunity to combine fire safety and a natural appearance. Together with Van den Nagel and Wageningen UR, we looked at aesthetics, sustainability, and performance to arrive at the best choice. A crucial factor was our internal service, in particular Kelvin van Uden, who ensured customization and a smooth process. He managed everything: from specifications to logistics. For a project involving 950 m² of facade cladding, this is no small feat. Thanks to this collaboration, we were able to switch quickly and respond to changes. The end result shows how innovative materials and good cooperation go hand in hand,” says Dirk Jan van Leeuwen, Verdouw Apeldoorn.
